Position Description
This is a temporary (2013-2014 academic year) and part-time (2-3 days a week) Counselor position. The Counselor will be responsible for providing short-term individual psychotherapy services and crisis intervention for students with personal and academic concerns; providing assessment and referral; consulting with students, faculty, and staff regarding mental health issues; and conducting educational outreach activities. The Counselor must demonstrate competence in providing effective interventions to a culturally diverse young population.

Our therapeutic model is integrative, collaborative, often short-term, with a strong therapeutic case management focus as we link students to community resources. Our work is very interactive, team based and we often work as a liaison to other departments in the college. Minimum Qualifications
PhD / PsyD in a mental health discipline (Counseling, Clinical Psychology, etc.) and NYS license.

Desired Qualifications
Previous experience in college counseling center preferred.
