The Psychologist for ASU Counseling Services provides individual, couples, and group counseling services in a time-limited service delivery model. Provides emergency/after hours and on-call services as assigned; provides outreach programming to the campus community; serves as a liaison to university departments; provides consultation services to faculty, staff, and university departments; trains and supervises pre-doctoral interns, postdoctoral residents, practicum students and/or paraprofessional trainees; participates in agency program evaluation and research; performs additional professional services based on individual skill and interests consistent with agency needs; engages in professional development activities to maintain licensure/certification.
DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM; occasional after hours and weekend work required.
Earned doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from a doctoral program accredited by the American Psychological Association AND one (1) year experience providing psychological counseling and therapy to college students or late adolescents.
Completion of an internship accredited by the American Psychological Association.
Licensed psychologist in the state of Arizona or eligible for and obtain licensure as a psychologist in the state of Arizona within one (1) year of employment. OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
Evidence of a Certification of a Licensed psychologist. Experience contributing to provision of consultation services to university housing organizations, academic departments and other university stakeholders; serving diverse student populations; Multi-lingual.
