Georgetown University has two half-time (12 months/year) openings at the new center for Georgetown Universityís School of Continuing Studies located in downtown Washington, DC. (This will become one of our satellite offices.)
The work of these positions entails providing clinical services including evaluations, psychotherapy (individual and group therapy), crisis intervention services, referrals where needed, on call coverage, as well as consultation and outreach services to parents, faculty, staff, administrators, and students.
Preference will be given to candidates who can work from the late afternoon through the early evening hours.
Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology; or an MSW; and DC licensure.
Previous college mental health experience.

The Georgetown residential area near the University retains an 18th and 19th century charm with historic homes, townhouses, and brick sidewalks. (Georgetown was a thriving Maryland tobacco port in the 1700ís. When the District of Columbia was carved out of Maryland and Virginia, Georgetown was included within the Districtís boundaries. The City of Washington, a separate village within the District, grew into and annexed Georgetown in the 1800ís.)
The School of Continuing Studies, where these positions are housed, is located in vibrant downtown DC location, central to the entire city and its offerings.
Washington, D.C., is about two hours from Atlantic coast beaches and about two hours from the mountains in Virginia and West Virginia.
