Position Description
Elizabethtown College seeks an experienced individual to serve as our Interim Director of Counseling Services. Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Interim Director of Counseling Services oversees the administration, coordination, and operation of the Counseling Services office within the Department of Student Wellness. The Interim Director will supervise and lead a team of three full-time staff counselors to promote and ensure high quality individual and group counseling, consultation, and referral services according to College policy, legal, ethical and professional standards of practice; collaborate with campus partners to promote current and emerging college student mental health issues, education, and intervention practices through formal and informal outreach to students, faculty and staff; encourage the development of an inclusive campus environment; participate in students of concern meetings, Campus Wellness Network, and Behavioral Intervention Review Team to provide clinical expertise on psychological and behavioral symptoms, risk factors, and recommendations for interventions; manage weekly caseload of 8-10 individual clients; participate in 24-hour on-call crisis duty rotation; manage Counseling Services budget.

Minimum Qualifications
Successful candidates will be licensed as a psychologist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibility combining clinical work and supervision of counseling staff is required. S/he will also demonstrate critical problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively interface with students, parents, faculty, administrators, and outside service providers. Experience working in a diverse higher education setting is strongly preferred.
