Position Description
The Curry College Counseling Center seeks a full-time temporary counselor to provide culturally sensitive individual, group, and couples counseling over a broad range of clinical issues and diagnoses, including: psychological, social, or other difficulties that interfere with students’ academic success; crisis intervention management, including after hours on-call coverage for the student population; short-term psychotherapy; risk assessment and mental status evaluation. Length of this appointment to be determined.
This position will also assist in providing training and supervision to practicum level Psychology interns and provide consultation and outreach activities to the college community. Responsibilities include participating in Student Affairs activities pertinent to student and employee well-being, including committees and/or participating in initiatives as requested by the Director of the Counseling Center.

Minimum Qualifications
A doctorate in Psychology with Massachusetts state licensure as a Health Service Provider (HSP) or Master’s level clinician with Massachusetts state licensure as LICSW or LMHC is required, as is counseling/clinical experience with a college or university population and experience working with students who are “high risk” (e.g., suicide, eating disorders, substance abuse, PTSD).

Desired Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include: Experience providing service to diverse student populations (e.g., students of color, students with learning disabilities, GLBTQ students, international students and veterans) and clinical supervision and training to graduate students; a minimum of three years of full-time clinically relevant professional experience.
