Position Description
University Counseling & Consulting Services (UCCS) is seeking energetic, committed, passionate candidates to fill one 100% Staff Psychologist position beginning Fall 2013.

Specific job responsibilities include providing:

--Coordination of the Group Counseling Program including supervising graduate trainees
--Group counseling (support and process groups)
--Shorter term, goal-focused individual counseling in the areas of personal concerns, academic difficulty, and career development
--Crisis Intervention
--Additional responsibilities may be added based on the successful candidate’s interests and skills. Examples include: outreach presentations and consultation to the greater University community and additional supervision and training responsibilities in the UCCS practicum, advanced practicum and APA-accredited internship programs.

Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program. Psychology Licensure in Minnesota or another state. Minimum of three years of counseling experience, with at least one year working in a college counseling setting.

Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Desired Qualifications
Strong Preference will be given to candidates who have completed an APA-accredited internship and who have worked for two or more years in a college counseling center with duties that included individual and group counseling.

Other preferred qualifications include:
-Demonstrated expertise, experience, and interest and in a higher education setting working with diverse populations (such as international students, under-represented student populations, GLBT-identified students and students with disabilities etc.)
-Experience conducting counseling groups
-Program coordination experience
-Experience supervising graduate student counseling trainees
-Skills as mental health and college counseling generalists who can assist students with career, academic and personal concerns
-Training and experienced in crisis intervention skills
-Demonstrated skills and ability functioning at a hgh level of independence and professionalism while working as a collaborative partner on an interdependent team

Region Description
The campus is located in the heart of Minneapolis, a vibrant community (named one of the top 20th livable world cities) known for the arts, sports, great biking trails and many other recreational opportunities.
