Consulting Psychiatrist (Part-Time)
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
The Counseling Center at Amherst College provides brief counseling and psychotherapy to students during the academic year. There is currently a 15-hour per week, non-benefitted position available for a Board Certified Psychiatrist with experience and interest in treating traditional college-aged young adults beginning September, 2013. The responsibilities include: psychopharmacological evaluation and treatment of students who are receiving psychotherapy at the Counseling Center; consultation with a staff of psychologists; and some after-hours on call consultation. Participation in weekly Thursday morning all-staff meetings is required. Other hours can be flexible during the Counseling Center’s open hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
