Position Description
This 12 month, full time, entry level position reports to the Director of the Counseling & Testing Center. The person in this position is responsible for the delivery of mental health services to students, faculty, and staff of the University. Duties include provision of individual, group, and couples counseling, clinical supervision of trainees, and outreach to the campus community.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Doctorate in Counseling, Clinical/Community, or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program or ABD in Counseling, Clinical, or Clinical/Community Psychology from an APA accredited program with completion of degree within six months of hire.

Minimum Experience:
Demonstrated experience in the provision of mental health services for a wide range of presenting concerns. Demonstrated strength as a presenter and developer of outreach programming. Successful experience working with diverse populations.

Required licenses/certifications:
Licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in the State of Kansas within six months of hire. If not licensed as a psychologist at the time of hire, licensed or license eligible as a masters level clinician in the State of Kansas.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Strong clinical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications
Preferred Education:
Completion of an APA accredited internship.

Preferred Experience:
Experience providing clinical supervision, previous experience providing mental health services in a college/university counseling center. Proficiency in a second language in addition to English. Demonstrated skills and experience working with one or more of the following: multicultural populations, menís issues, traditionally underserved student populations.
