The Staff Psychologist provides clinical services (individual, couples, and group therapy; consultation and crisis response) to Roosevelt University students and also provides training and clinical supervision to pre- and post-doctoral psychology trainees who provide clinical service. The Staff Psychologist will take leadership in a functional area based on her/his specific expertise, such as taking leadership in internal departmental assessment activities, maintaining and updating the Titanium Schedule data base, and/or assisting the Assistant Directors and Director in additional administrative tasks. The Staff Psychologist also performs campus and community outreach; participates in University and Center meetings and committees; consults with faculty, staff, and students; and attends to her or his own professional development. The Staff Psychologist demonstrates multicultural competence in all aspects of the position and contributes to a culturally sensitive team atmosphere in the department.
The Staff Psychologist must have an earned Doctoral degree in Psychology and be licensed or license-eligible in Illinois. The Staff Psychologist must demonstrate multicultural competence, and be able to work collaboratively, think creatively, and communicate effectively in verbal and written contexts. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year of college counseling experience, and efficiency in Microsoft Office and database/scheduling systems.
