Position Description
The staff at Creightonís Counseling Services welcomes applications for a full-time staff psychologist position. The successful candidate must be a generalist with significant interest and experience working with academic concerns and assessment. This position will serve a general case load providing individual, couples, and group counseling services to a diverse student body presenting with personal, career, and mental health concerns. In addition, an important emphasis for this position will be the provision of learning disability and ADHD evaluations. This position will serve as resource for academic presenting problems and will be a referral agent to other campus resources for academic difficulties. The position will also provide crisis assessment and intervention, supervision, consultation, and outreach programming, sharing these responsibilities with other staff. Other responsibilities include maintaining electronic documentation of services, participating in committee work, sharing in weekly staff training, working on multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining relevant professional credentials. The person must be able to work autonomously yet collaboratively. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required. This position reports to the Director of the Counseling Services.

Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology by start date required. The successful candidate must be eligible for provisional licensure as a psychologist in the state of Nebraska and obtain full licensure within the first two years of employment. For candidates needing post-degree supervised experience to complete requirements for full licensure, the supervision can be provided as part of the work experience. The candidate must also demonstrate strong interest and experience in the assessment of learning disabilities and ADHD. Strong written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills are required.

Desired Qualifications
Experience with a college-aged population is preferred. Specialized interest, training and experience working with culturally diverse and LGBTQ students is also preferred.

University Description
Counseling Services is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS). The staff consists of three psychologists (one position open), two masterís level clinicians, a consulting psychiatrist, two pre-doctoral psychology interns, and two practicum students. The pre-doctoral interns are part of the Nebraska Internship Consortium in Professional Psychology, which is APA-accredited.

Counseling Services is a highly utilized, fast-paced mental health service with primary responsibility for meeting the mental health needs of Creighton students. Counseling Services is part of an integrated health service, located jointly with Health Services in the Center for Health & Counseling. The Center is located in a newly built student services building.

The staff at Counseling Services have a supportive, collegial relationship with one another.
