Position Description
The Psychologist will be part of the Counseling & Psych Services (CAPS) multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical evaluation, crisis management, and brief treatment services for UA undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. The Psychologist will also participate in CAPS consultation and educational endeavors throughout the University community.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
• Provide brief treatment services, psychological
evaluation, and crisis management to UA students
(individuals, couples, and groups).
• Conduct or interpret brief psychological assessments.
• Provide specialized services in the area of eating
disorders and body image issues.
• Participate in campus community outreach, prevention, and
psycho-educational activity.
• Provide psychological consultations to families, faculty,
staff, administrators, and Campus Health Service medical
providers.
• Participate in supervision of CAPS clinical trainees, as
needed.
• Utilize relevant information technology.
• Work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary
campus-based health and mental health team.
• Participate in relevant Campus Health and University wide
committees.
• Provide all services in a manner which is professional,
culturally sensitive, and respectful of differences.
•Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Doctoral Degree in Psychology
• Successful completion of a full year clinical internship
in psychology.
• Licensure as a Psychologist by the Arizona State Board of
Psychologist Examiners or currently eligible to be
licensed as a Psychologist in Arizona (final AZ licensure
to be required within one year of hire).
• Demonstrated expertise in the area of eating disorders or
an interest and willingness to develop a clinical
specialty in this area.

Desired Qualifications
• Doctoral Degree in psychology from an APA accredited
institution.
• Successful completion of at least 1500 hours of
supervised post-doctoral experience.
• Three years of post-licensure experience as a
psychologist.
• Experience in conducting therapy utilizing a brief
treatment model of care.
• Clinical experience in a university or college health
counseling setting.
• Experience conducting brief psychological assessment and
ADHD screenings.
• Therapeutic experience working with multi-cultural clients
and/or those for whom English is not their first language.
