Position Description
DePauw University Counseling Services seeks applicants to fill an opening for a full-time 11 month psychologist position. The position requires a generalist who can deliver quality clinical services including crisis/emergency services to the student population and consultation, outreach and training to the university community.

DePauw University Counseling Services provides clinical services for a mostly traditional age university student population within the context of the overall educational mission of the university. Counseling Services also provides psycho-educational outreach and consultation to the university community. Counseling Services is housed with Health Services in the Wellness Center and works closely with Health Services but is administratively separate. Counseling Services staff consists of 4 practitioners at both the masters and doctoral levels and a part-time psychiatrist. Counseling Services has a Peer Education Program for undergraduates to enhance the outreach component of the department and a small clinical training program for masters and/or doctoral practicum trainees.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology or a related field with an APA accredited doctoral program and APA accredited internship preferred. Indiana license or license eligibility is strongly preferred. State license should be obtained within two years of employment.

Desired Qualifications
Strong candidates should demonstrate experience in providing clinical services and outreach programming to minorities, international students and women. Candidates who have demonstrated expertise in eating disorders, group psychotherapy, and/or adjustment to university life for minority and international students are preferred.

Region Description
Greencastle, in Putnam County, is set in scenic West Central Indiana among rolling hills interspersed with farmland. The area offers opportunities for many recreational activities with several state parks within an hour of Greencastle. The area is known for its covered bridges and hosts an annual Covered Bridge Festival to celebrate this aspect of American history. Professional sports teams, museums, and theaters are a 45 minute drive to Indianapolis. Additional cultural and sporting events can be found nearby at several major universities.
