Position Description
The successful candidate will provide intake, short and longer term individual/couples/group counseling, and crisis intervention with students who are experiencing developmental, psychological, and vocational concerns. He/she will provide outreach and consultation to university students, faculty, and staff; develop liaisons with various campus groups, and act as advocate for underserved populations. The candidate must have the ability and interest in providing supervision and training. He/she will have the opportunity to work with culturally diverse groups including ethnic minorities (African American, Latino, Asian American), GLBTQ students, and/or International students.

Minimum Qualifications
Required: Doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology (APA accredited) which includes one year of APA accredited supervised internship experience. Licensed in the state of Florida as a psychologist within 18 months. Demonstrated record of successful performance in and commitment to the practice of psychotherapy with both individuals and groups.

Desired Qualifications
Preferred: Interest and experience working in University Counseling Centers, facilitating psychotherapy groups, supervision of graduate trainees, and initiating and developing outreach programs for both the general student body and targeted underserved groups. Demonstrate commitment, interest, and competency in working with culturally diverse populations. Although we are filling a generalist position, we will give preference to candidates with experience and interest in working with one or more of the following: racial/ethnic minorities, GLBTQ concerns, outreach, and menís issues. Preference will also be given to persons who are currently licensed as a psychologist.
