Position Description
The University of North Carolina Wilmington Counseling Center seeks to fill a staff position for a Training Coordinator which requires both strong administrative and organizational skills in addition to well- developed client/direct service skills. The successful candidate will have a generalist orientation, be multiculturally competent and affirming as well as possess experience in providing services which support the mission of an active university counseling center.

This position manages the Centerís re-emerging training program including a post-doctoral fellowship program and other training opportunities. The Training Coordinator reports to the Counseling Center Director and works with the Associate Director and staff to offer a comprehensive training program. Additional duties will include individual and group counseling services; outreach programming; crisis intervention / on-call rotation; consultation; assessment; and other administrative duties, as assigned.

The successful candidate should possess and exhibit an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, campus departments, and student groups; a commitment to actively engage in practice with diverse populations (racial/ethnic, LGBTQIA, ability, gender, SES, etc.); interpersonal flexibility with a good sense of humor; an understanding of the importance of work-life balance; and an understanding of the developmental perspective of counseling and clinical services with clients in a collegiate setting.

Minimum Qualifications
A doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology; three years of postdoctoral experience (including clinical training duties, direct clinical service, clinical supervision, administrative or teaching responsibilities); experience providing clinical supervision; and current licensure or eligibility for psychology licensure in the state of North Carolina.

Desired Qualifications
Applicants should highlight their experience providing or managing graduate, pre-professional or professional training in psychology and demonstrate their knowledge of clinical training. Three years of clinical experience in a university counseling center setting (including practica, internships, and post- doctoral fellowships) is preferred. Additional interest and expertise in multicultural concerns, mood regulation, anxiety management, clinical supervision, groups, or mind-body principles is desired.
