Position Description
The Counseling and Psychological Services Department (CAPS) at The University of Hartford anticipates a vacancy for a full-time 10-month staff psychologist position beginning in August 2013. Primary responsibilities include: providing short-term, focused treatment to undergraduate and graduate students; conducting intake evaluations; conducting crisis evaluations and providing crisis interventions; supervising and training doctoral and master’s level practicum students; and providing outreach and consultation to the university community.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include: a Doctorate from an APA accredited program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology; licensure or eligible for licensure as a psychologist in Connecticut; previous clinical experience with a college-age population (preferably within a college counseling center).

Desired Qualifications
Desired qualifications include: proficiency in providing brief, focused, and evidence-based treatment interventions; a thorough understanding of the developmental challenges facing a college-age population; strong oral presentation skills; and a desire to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
