Position Description
The University of Akron Counseling Center seeks applicants to fill a full time 12 month psychologist position. Primary duties include individual psychological counseling, psycho-diagnostic assessment, group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and coordinating and providing psycho-educational outreach programming for the center. The position includes supervision and training of APA doctoral interns and practicum students. The candidate will have strong interest in working with students of color, international students and/or LGBT student populations.

Other duties as assigned. Candidates will have skills and interest in providing culturally competent psychological services in a diverse campus community. Experience in a college or university setting is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology with an APA accredited doctoral program and APA internship preferred. Ohio license eligibility is required. State license should be obtained within approximately one year of employment.
