Position Description
The successful candidate will provide individual and group counseling, assessment and referral services, crisis intervention, consultation, evaluation and support services. Outreach programming focused on developmental issues and prevention is also included in the position. The professional in this position will provide consultation to university administrators, faculty, staff, campus organizations and parents. Training and clinical supervision, as appropriate, are also included in the duties. Continuing education and professional development activities are expected. This individual may serve as a coordinator of a specific center programming area or as designated liaison to campus groups and may serve on committees and task groups. This person may also initiate involuntary examination procedures as allowed by law.

Minimum Qualifications
Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the State of Florida in accordance with Chapter 491 (Florida Statutes).

Desired Qualifications
Experience with initial assessments and brief therapy, crisis intervention, group therapy, supervision and training, outreach and community interventions as well as experience working with collaborative partner’s on-campus. Experience in University Counseling Center work is a plus.

Experience in the following is also desired:
1. Experience in case/”care” management work
2. Experience in managing complex and high-risk clients
3. Interest and experience in referral development
4. Interest and experience in working with substance abuse and/or eating disorder client

University Description
The University of Central Florida is a metropolitan research university with an enrollment of over 56,000 students. The Center has an active program of prevention and outreach, and joint efforts are in place, with others on the drawing board, that connect the Center with other departments and professionals on campus who are concerned about health, wellness and alcohol and other drug prevention, among others. The
