College Counselor/Alcohol Prevention Coordinator

McDaniel College seeks applicants for College Counselor/Alcohol Prevention Coordinator, full time, 10-month position in the Wellness Center.
The successful candidate will provide a wide range of clinical services including triage, time-limited individual counseling/psychotherapy, assessment, crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, case management, and referrals. The candidate will coordinate alcohol prevention programs and conduct substance abuse assessments. Rotation of after-hour emergency coverage, participation in student orientation programs, peer support groups, and outreach to the campus community is required. Demonstrated ability with programming and college student related issues is desired. Some weekend and evening hours required.
Master’s degree in mental health counseling, MSW or related field; eligibility for Maryland clinical licensure such as LCPC or LCSW-C; and a minimum of 2 years clinical experience or equivalent.
