Position Description
Under the direction of the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services, the Clinical/Counseling Psychologist is responsible to provide the following services for University students: mental health intake assessments; triage evaluations; psychological evaluations; treatment planning; individual, couples, family and group mental health psychotherapy; crisis intervention; referral services; and, as designated by the director, supervision of staff and/or graduate trainees. The Clinical/ Counseling Psychologist works with university staff and Student Life staff across the following areas: the Academic Success Center, Student Health Center (SHC), Residential Learning and University Housing (RLUH), Community Standards and Commuter Services, EOF/MAP, Campus Recreation and Student Center, and community agencies to assist or lead the development and delivery of relevant programs, presentations, and events. The Clinical/Counseling Psychologist position may be responsible for services to both the Glassboro and Camden Campuses. The Clinical/Counseling Psychologist(s) provides confidentiality, accuracy and integrity of client interactions, treatment protocols and records.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Ph.D./Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology is required

Experience: Three to five years clinical experience required in a mental health outpatient setting performing intake evaluations; individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy; psychological testing; and supervision of other professionals and/or trainees.

Licensures/Certifications: Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of New Jersey is required.

As required by the State of New Jersey, must complete a criminal history check and have proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Desired Qualifications
Preferred qualities of the candidate include college counseling center experience and licensed for two or more years in the state of New Jersey.

The main campus, where the CPSC is housed, is located in Glassboro, New Jersey, which is a suburban community located approximately 30 outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
