Position Description
This postdoctoral position is for a psychology doctoral graduate who is seeking advanced training in providing psychological services in a community college. The position is full time for one academic year. The start date is August 26, 2013. The end date is July 25, 2014. The duties include: providing brief individual counseling; initial intake interviews; crisis intervention; case management; consultation and outreach with students, faculty, and staff; possible supervision of practicum students; and other duties as assigned.

The postdoctoral internship is designed to provide both generalist training and specialized experience working with a diverse population of community college students regarding a range of mental health and developmental concerns. The postdoctoral intern is supervised by a licensed psychologist.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have completed a Ph.D or Psy.D in counseling or clinical psychology before the start of the contract.

Desired Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates from APA-accredited academic programs who have completed APA-accredited internships. The strongest applicants will demonstrate a professional commitment and interest in university or college counseling centers and student development.
