Position Description
Duties of the Postdoctoral Associate will include individual psychotherapy focusing on brief interventions, outreach programming particulalry in the area of Wellness, and some crisis intervention with on-call duties. Weekly case conferences, individual supervision and the opportunity to pursue individual interests are present. The person will interact with Residence Life, assisting withRA training, and be a part of the Student Affairs unit. This position meets requirements for post-doctoral experience for licensure in most states.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be licensable as a mental health counselor in the State of Florida or be eligible to obtain a license as a Psychologist in the State of Florida within two years. A Master’s degree in counseling or clinical psychology at a college or university accredited by the United States Department of Education.

Desired Qualifications
Completion of either a Ph.D or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology or equivalent, or expect to finish the doctorate within one year. Completion of an APA accredited internsehip; experience in a college or university counseling center or hospital; experience in outreach programming. This is a residency program designed for new professionals on track to licensure as a psychologist.
