Position Description
The Florida State University Counseling Center (www.counseling.fsu.edu) seeks two experienced psychologists to join our dynamic and diverse multidisciplinary team. We are looking for candidates with strong generalist skills who enjoy working in a collaborative and collegial environment to provide individual counseling, group psychotherapy, prevention outreach, consultation, crisis intervention, and clinical supervision and training to pre-doctoral and pre-masterís interns. This position requires a police background check.

The University Counseling Center (UCC) provides a full range of counseling and psychological services and has a very robust group therapy program, an active outreach agenda and a dynamic peer educator student organization. All staff are encouraged to contribute to the training and supervision of graduate students and to be involved in our group psychotherapy program. Collaboration with other Student Affairs and Academic units to provide mental health and wellness programming is a hallmark of our center. Our commitment to wellness is demonstrated by our outreach programming, our Biofeedback and Relaxation Lab and our Suicide Prevention Program. The UCC enjoys the strong support of FSU administrators, is fully accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS) and is an APA-Accredited Pre-doctoral Psychology Internship site.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
2. Licensed in the state of Florida as a psychologist (in accordance with Chapter 490, F.S.) or be able to obtain said licensure within one year of employment in this position.

Desired Qualifications
1. License to practice psychology in Florida
2. Three years (3) or more post-licensure experience
3. Experience in a college counseling center or with college-aged clients.
4. Demonstrated ability and interest in the training and supervision of interns
5. Track record of teamwork and multicultural competency
