Suicide Prevention Outreach Coordinator

Support all activities of the HOPE Initiative, a comprehensive campus suicide prevention program funded by a SAMHSA Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Campus Suicide Prevention Grant by marketing and promotion of community-based suicide prevention outreach activities, scheduling training for faculty, staff and students; assisting in community mental health education needs-assessment, maintaining informational resources, and collecting data on outcomes.
Required Masterís degree from an accredited university in one of the following fields:
Public Health, Public Health Promotion, Health and Wellness Promotion, Community Health Education, Strategic Communication, or related degrees, or degrees related to practice of mental health, including social work, psychology, community mental health, or related health care or human services degrees
Required 2 years working in public health, community health, health promotion, health marketing, in a community setting such as school, university, public agency, or occupational setting. Pertinent educational experiences (research assistantships, community health internships, peer health educator positions or similar) may count towards experience.
CHES preferred, not required.
Skilled in planning and coordinating effective health education programs.effective public speaking and presentation skills; expertise in communication with diverse populations; strong organizational skills with attention to details, strong oral and written communication skills
