The University of Washington Counseling Center is seeking applicants for a full-time 12-month Psychologist to provide brief individual and group counseling as well as outreach and programming for enrolled UW students. This person will particularly focus their outreach efforts toward the UW’s growing population of international students and other underserved populations. In addition, this Psychologist will serve as an active member of our training staff, providing training and supervision for pre-doctoral interns in our APA-accredited internship program. They will also provide consultation to UW faculty, staff, and students regarding student behavior, mental health, and academic challenges in order to enhance the campus climate for student success. The successful candidate will join a team of diverse and energetic individuals who are committed to enhancing and maintaining a thriving multicultural organization.
•Doctorate degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
•Completion of an APPIC-registered internship, preferably APA-accredited
•At least one year experience in a college or university counseling center, or with college-age clinical populations
•Evidence of outstanding skills in clinical assessment, psychotherapy and counseling, crisis management, and psychoeducation
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Demonstrated sensitivity to multicultural issues and proven ability to interact with diverse individuals and groups
•License eligible as a Psychologist in the State of Washington
•Experience in clinical supervision of trainees
•Experience and interest in providing outreach and programming for international students
•Bilingual or multilingual
