Position Description
Gettysburg College, in historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced Staff Psychologist. Gettysburg College is a residential undergraduate liberal arts college, which enrolls approximately 2,600 students.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: provision of individual and group therapy to students; consultation to staff, faculty, parents, associated care providers, and students; crisis intervention; and education/outreach. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Health and Counseling Services. The successful candidate will be joining a staff of 4 other providers, an administrative assistant, and a consulting psychiatrist.

Doctorate in clinical psychology (APA accredited program) or a closely related field is required. Completion of an APA-approved internship is preferred. Must be licensed in Pennsylvania or obtain Pennsylvania licensure within approximately one year of hire. The optimal candidate will have experience working with individuals experiencing significant psychopathology and with crisis intervention/management, and will have an understanding of the challenges associated specifically with working in a college setting. Must be an excellent communicator, collaborative, professional, energetic, and able to manage a heavy caseload plus competing demands. Interest in working with typically under-served populations is desirable. Some evening and weekend work is necessary as well as summer on-call duty.

This is a full-time, regular, 10-month/year administrative position. Salary is very competitive and is complemented by an excellent benefits package that includes same-sex partner benefits.
