Position Description
Brigham Young University’s Counseling and Career Center is seeking applications for two full-time faculty positions in our Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) area. Each position carries a 10-month annual contract. These are Continuing Faculty Status (tenure equivalent) track positions. Both positions have the same duties. The job primarily entails the provision of psychotherapy to BYU students including individual, couples, and group therapy. Other faculty responsibilities are also required, such as teaching, scholarly activity, supervision of graduate students’ therapy training, and committee assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
A doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology or other mental health field is required (will consider ABD; Master’s level clinicians will not be considered) as is eligibility for Utah licensure within one year.

Desired Qualifications
Experience with psychotherapy, assessment, and training of Ph.D. students in a university setting is preferred. We highly encourage applicants with experience or demonstrated competency in working with diverse populations.
University Description
Located in the Wilkinson Student Center, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is the university provider of confidential, personal counseling services to BYU students. These services are free of charge to BYU students. The 25+ member faculty consists of Ph.D. licensed clinicians. The CAPS psychotherapy training program includes an APA accredited internship site and supervised training for BYU Counseling Psychology and Clinical Psychology students. Psychotherapy research is an integral part of the practice.
