University Counseling Center
Villanova University Counseling Center has an opening for a full time Post-Doctoral Fellow. The position is for 12 months, from August 26, 2013 through August 22, 2014. The Counseling Center staff consists of eight doctoral level psychologists, consulting psychiatrists and a nutritionist. The staff is broadly psychodynamic in orientation. The Center offers a wide range of services, including brief counseling and psychotherapy, educational outreach, consultations and groups. Our clients include undergraduates, graduate and law students, faculty, and staff. The fellow participates in all functions of the Counseling Center, including receiving 2 hours of supervision weekly and attending weekly meetings including case conference, crisis discussion, professional discussion, and psychiatric case reviews.
A completed doctoral degree from a recognized program in clinical or counseling psychology by the start date is required.
A practicum or internship in a college counseling center setting is strongly preferred, as is a career interest in insight-oriented psychotherapy.
