Mental Health Outreach Counselor - This position is required to provide mental health education and large group event planning for the campus community which supports the mission of a University Counseling Center. Furthermore, this position is expected to deliver cost-effective, evidence-based programs that have a high likelihood of achieving measurable improvements in the emotional health of students and/or enhanced academic performance. This position will also serve as a backup clinical provider. Must be commitment to actively engage in practice with diverse populations as well as be proficient in a variety of computer software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, statistical software, web design and other graphics editing software).
Masterís or advanced degree in counseling/psychology/social work and 3 years of work related experience. Must have or obtain license in the State of Florida within 12 months of employment. Must have excellent written/oral/interpersonal communications skills, flexibility and ability to collaborate well with others as well as demonstrated knowledge in mental health promotion conceptualization and student development theories in the context of higher education.
