Position Description
Reporting to the Director of the Counseling Center, this position will provide oversight and management of all aspects of the Counseling and Career Development Center training programs, including, but not limited to: selection of Interns and Practicum students; oversight of trainees’ supervision, maintenance of accreditation and professional standards, etc. In addition, the Assistant Director’s duties include: individual and group counseling, psychological and vocational testing and interpretation, crisis intervention and assessment, consultations, and providing outreach programming on a variety of mental health issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree; psychologist licensure; one or more years of related work experience; effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
Desired Qualifications
Three or more years of post-licensure experience in related field, experience in a higher education counseling center.
