Position Description
The Associate Director of Psychological and Health Services primary role is to assist the Director of Psychological and Health Service in providing leadership with regard to prevention, intervention education and assessment in the areas of psychological services, psychiatric services, health promotion and health services. The position will serve as primary designee of the Director of Psychological and Health Services for the Counseling and Testing Center, Student Health Clinic, Psychiatric Services and Health Promotion. The position will provide leadership in meeting the needs of students with acute and chronic health concerns. Prevention and will coordinate the CTC’s risk screening program for students of concern. The position will serve on the Division of Student Affairs Student of Concern Team along with the Director and will provide leadership in the risk screen process for students of concern as well as consultation to campus partners regarding students who behavior poses a threat either to own safety or the safety of the campus community. He or she will coordinate assessment of programs and services in the Psychological and Health Services areas. The position will assist the Director with other duties as required. The essential duties and responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

•Serve as the Director’s Primary Designee for Counseling and testing Center, Student Health Clinic, Psychiatric Services and Health Promotion
•Provide administrative coverage for campus emergencies in rotation with Associate Director for Clinical Services after hours and during the day as assigned
•Serve as Director’s Designee for attendance at university and divisional meetings
•Coordinate the CTC’s risk screening process for students of concern
•Provide risk screenings for students of concern
•Provide education to the campus community on the identification and referral of students of concerns in coordination with campus partners
•Provide education and prevention programming to campus community on psychological and health issues
•Supervise and evaluate professional staff in the area of student health promotion
•Provide administrative supervision for clinical service providers in the CTC
•Provide individual counseling, assessment and consultation
•Provide workshops and seminars for students and the campus community
•Coordinate assessment of programs and services in the psychological and health services areas
•Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
•Doctoral degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology or a related field
*Licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Georgia or eligible to be licensed in Georgia within 90 days of hire
•3 years experience as a psychologist, post –licensure

Desired Qualifications
•Working knowledge of threat assessment and threat management theory and practice and experience in assessment and management of cases involving harm to self and others, preferably in higher education
•Demonstrated ability to review and interpret clinical assessments and formulated interventions to minimize risk of violence or self-harm to provide crisis intervention and response, case management and counseling in crisis settings as well as information and appropriate referrals.
•Working knowledge of assessment of substance abuse and treatment and prevention with university populations
•Working knowledge of strategies for prevention of sexual assault on university campuses
•Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive education programs around topics related to students of concern for varied audiences
•Experience providing psychological services to diverse populations
•Experience in a university mental health setting providing counseling to students
