Social Worker Position
JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides counseling and psychotherapy to meet the needs of the student population; crisis intervention, on call services and initial assessments, clinical supervision to post-doctoral and post-MSW fellows, psychology and social work interns. Provides prevention oriented educational programming, workshops and consultation. Job responsibilities may include coordination of intakes and/or referral resources. Requires some evening hours and after hours on call.
Cultural competence/sensitivity required.
Preferred areas of expertise include: Consultation with medical providers, cognitive behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, group therapy. Preference given to candidates who have been licensed for 3+ years and who have previous experience working with college students.
Other duties as determined with the Director depending upon the needs of the Center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: LCSW. Licensed or licensed eligible in Georgia. Preference given to applicants who have been licensed 3+ years.
