Suicide Prevention Program Coordinator
commensurate with experience
Responsible for the development and administration of a suicide prevention and mental health promotion program; design and execute multimodal and ongoing education related to suicide prevention and mental health promotion; assist with conducting needs assessments and evaluating programs and services; collaborate with campus and community services to assure a coordinated effort; and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time exempt contractual position funded through a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and with a limited benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Masterís degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field required, Ph.D. preferred; licensed in Maryland or eligible for licensure, as appropriate; and three years related experience. Previous higher education experience in the areas of suicide prevention and mental health promotion, program development, and evaluation are desired.
Ability to develop and evaluate programs; ability to work effectively with diverse groups; excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, organizational, and written & oral communication skills; ability to work with the interdependent systems that exist in a university setting; and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
