Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Position is primarily responsible for administering and maintaining all aspects of our APA-accredited Doctoral Internship in professional psychology. This includes recruitment, selection, and orientation of interns; planning and scheduling of training experiences; management of all communication and documentation thereof with interns’ doctoral training programs; coordination of clinical supervision of the interns; completion of all documentation necessary for maintenance of APA accreditation; and coordination of the Internship with other service functions of our Center.
Provides administrative oversight of three other training programs at the Counseling & Human Development Center, each of which has an assigned coordinator, and which include a Post-Doctoral Fellowship program in professional psychology, a Counselor Education training program, and a Social Work training program.
The position will include providing some direct services to students, including individual and group therapy, intake assessments, psychological testing, and crisis intervention services. Strong interest and skills in group psychotherapy are essential.
Earned doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program, including internship completed at an APA accredited Doctoral Internship program. Five (5) years experience as a Licensed Psychologist. Demonstrated evidence of increasing supervisory and administrative responsibilities over time. Current psychologist license, and eligible for a license as a psychologist in the State of South Carolina.
At least two years professional experience in a college/university counseling center setting. Demonstrated competency in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and a clear commitment to the values of multiculturalism.
