Position Description
Iowa State University’s Student Counseling Service is seeking applicants for two full-time generalist Staff Psychologist positions (one continuous and one ending on 6/30/2013 with the possibility of renewal) which will provide a variety of services to a diverse college population including individual, group, career, and couples counseling; crisis intervention; outreach and consultation; and substance abuse and eating disorder assessments. Other duties will include supervision of practicum students and interns (APA-accredited internship) and administrative tasks as designated.
Must obtain license as a Psychologist in Iowa within 12 months of start date and to maintain license throughout duration of employment.

Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate from an APA-accredited program in counseling or clinical psychology and one year experience providing clinical services (experience may include a doctoral internship).
Desired Qualifications
Experience providing clinical services in a college or university counseling center.
Additional years of experience related to the duties of this position. Experience working with diverse client populations. Licensure as a Psychologist. The successful candidate will possess strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

The Student Counseling Service houses an APA-accredited Doctoral Internship Program, Practicum Program, Career Exploration Service, a Mind/Body Center, and a thriving Group Therapy program.
