Position Description
Psychologists provide individual therapy to assess the level of pathology and to determine appropriateness of a short-term therapeutic modality for students with serious psychological concerns. Assess for suicidal ideation and provide appropriate crisis intervention services. Coordinate care with Student Health and provide on and off campus referrals as needed. Provide consultation to staff, faculty, and students as requested. Develop and deliver psychoeducational programs to meet the special needs of targeted populations. Train and supervise staff, interns, practicum students, or peers as appropriate. Maintain current license to practice psychology in the state of California and must continue to meet state requirements for license renewal.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
License to practice psychology in the State of California or eligible within 6 months.
Ability to be credentialed and privileged.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in a university counseling center. Experience and/or expertise with eating disorders, multicultural and gender issues. Experience or special expertise with any of the following populations: Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender, African American, Asian American, and/or Latino/Latina American.
