Position Description
The postdoctoral fellow provides direct clinical services, supervises trainees, assists planning and delivery of outreach programs, and consults with staff and faculty. S/he participates in overall mission of promoting healthy psychological development for IIT students. S/he will see a broad range of clientele from our international student body. The primary focus of this position is the provision of direct clinical services including initial assessments, crisis/triage assessments, referrals, case management and after-hour pager duty. An important aspect of this position is to serve as the liasion/point of contact person with the Kedge program for academically at risk students. This position also involves the planning and development of outreach programs to meet primarily the needs for students in the Kedge program. This position may include group support services and/or group therapy. This position may also involve being mentored and supervised by the assistant direcotr of the Center in learning some of the skills involved in the clinical coordination of our services. Additional administrative roles and special projects may also be required depending on the needs of the agency. This position will involve weekend and evening duties including carrying an on-call pager that is rotated among staff (for consultations with Public Safety, Deans, and Student life. We have had approximately 5-10 pages per year in recent years), attending outreach events that sometimes occur on evening or weekends.

Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate degree in counseling or clinical psychology and completion of pre-doctoral clinical Internship at an APA accredited training site.

Desired Qualifications
Prior experience of training in a college counseling center especially in working with students in academic distress and providing workshops and outreach to college students are preferred.

As we have a large international student population. Those candidates who are well versed in multicultual psychology and have conversational fluency in languages in addition to English should highlight that in their application letter.

Prior experience in the provision of crisis intervention and case management is preferred but not required.
