Position Description
COUNSELOR, Job #100653 – California State University, Sacramento, Counseling & Psychological Services is seeking a temporary, full-time, academic year counselor with the possibility of reappointment; this is a benefited position to: Provide direct clinical services including but not limited to: triage, urgent care, crisis intervention, risk assessment, brief psychotherapy, crisis debriefing, clinical assessment and other direct services as requested. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Perform indirect client services and administrative responsibilities including but not limited to drop-in client hours, client case coordination, training and consultation with providers, faculty, staff, counselors, student leaders and off-campus referral sources, case notes and other required paperwork and documentation, staff meeting and other services as requested.Vacancy announcement and application procedures can be accessed at http://www.csus.edu/hr/faculty/Psyc/index.htm. Minimum Qualifications
Required: PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology or a Master’s degree in social work, psychology or related field.
Desired Qualifications
Preferred: licensed Psychologist or licensed Social Worker or Marriage Family Therapist in the state of California.
