Position Description
The Counseling, Health, and Wellness Center at William Paterson University seeks a Psychologist/Coordinator of Training to join our team. The Center provides a proactive approach to ensuring that the psychological and medical needs of students are attended to effectively.

This is a 12-month position that includes primary responsibility for providing counseling services to students. Responsibilities also include outreach presentations to various campus groups, consultation, collaboration with other departments, and participation in provision of on-call emergency services. In addition, the person in this position coordinates all aspects of the practicum training program including recruitment, orientation, supervision and evaluation of trainees as well as coordination of didactic seminars.

Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology is required. Licensure in the state of New Jersey is preferred; license eligibility will be considered. Experience in providing supervision and training to graduate students is required.
The successful candidate will have strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with colleagues; a commitment to a team atmosphere; and proficiency in client/direct service provision, especially to a diverse student population.

Desired Qualifications
Counseling experience in an institution of higher education, and a solid foundation in student development theory, is preferred.
