Position Description
Counseling Services at Immaculata University has a full-time, 10-month position for a Counselor. The Counselor is a member of the student development and engagement staff reporting directly to the Director of Counseling Services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: diagnostic assessment and triage, the provision of short-term individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, outreach, after-hours on-call service, and consultation to the University community which includes faculty, staff, and students.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires an earned master’s degree from a social work, clinical or counseling psychology program and Pennsylvania license.
Desired Qualifications
College counseling experience is preferred along with an understanding of traditional and adult college student development and behavioral and mental health issues. In addition to excellent clinical skills, candidates should possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; ability to work with time sensitive projects, work in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to perform effective and efficient administrative responsibilities. Some evening and weekend work required.
