Mental Health Counselor
Notre Dame College
This position assists the Director of the Counseling Center in providing mental and behavioral counseling services to a diverse student population. Duties and responsibilities include: diagnostic intakes, individual and group psychotherapy, campus outreach, workshops and educational programs, referral coordination, case management and consultation services. Rotating on-call crisis intervention responsibilities and some evening hours are required. The ability and willingness to work closely as a team with other campus departments to provide supportive services to the student population is a must.
Must have a Master’s degree in counseling or related field. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) is required. Must have or be eligible to obtain state license in Ohio.
The successful candidate will have effective verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated strong collaborative skills with Residence Life and other Student Affairs departments and experience with a diverse college population of traditional, adult and graduate students. Valuing inclusiveness in a campus community is a must.
