Position Description
The person in this position will serve as a liaison, building and fostering relationships that facilitate CAPS’ development and provision of a wide range of counseling, outreach and consultation services to the International student community. The staff member will attend pertinent agency staff and team meetings; participate in staff planning and coordination of meetings, professional development activities, and in-service presentations; assist in outreach and consultation, teaching and other counseling center activities and may provide supervision to therapists in training if needed. The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential in all aspects of this job, as is independent judgment and discretion. Understanding of and adherence to professional ethics are mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s in Social Work from an accredited program or Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology, with APA approved internship.
Must be certified or licensed (eligible) in the state of Indiana.
One year of general therapy experience with young adults.
Experience and working knowledge about multicultural counseling, particularly related to issues and concerns of International students.
The successful candidate will be able to speak fluent Mandarin Chinese.
Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential in all aspects of this job, as are independent judgment and discretion.
Diagnostic, assessment and intervention skills in clinical areas, as well as the ability to make decisions about urgency of patient problems.
Understanding of and adherence to professional ethics are mandatory.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to function well as part of a collaborative team.
Sensitivity and commitment to issues of diversity and social justice are desired qualities too.
Must relate well to students, medical and professional personnel, faculty and other members of the University community.
