Position Description
Provides individual, couples, and develops group counseling in a brand new center cretated in August 2010 due to downward expansion. Assists with outreach, face to face and virtual, and other duties as assigned by UCC director. Seek team player with neutrality and integrity, multicultural and multilingual competencies a big plus. Tremendous room and opportunity for professional, center, and institutional growth and impact. Will also assist with OVW/DOJ Grant 2011-WA-AX-0023 implementation.

Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Counseling, Clinical, or Professional Psychology;
Licensed/license eligible in the State of Texas;
Ability to act professionally and confidentially with minimal yet appropriate levels of supervision, depending on development and experience levels;
Two years of related experience in and/or germane to a University Counseling Center.

Desired Qualifications
Multilingual and multicultural competencies in providing clinical services to 1st generation university students;
Ability to assist director in a fast paced environment;
Grant writing and/or administration experience;
Group work and training and supervision experience with Master’s students in Counseling and Counseling Psychology;
Commitment to along with long term interests within a University Counseling Center; and,
Unflappable integrity to observing and integrating all relevant mental health laws, ethics, and professional conduct into praxis with firm grounding in all 5 metaethical principles.

University Description
UoHouston Victoria is a small sixed university approximately 150 miles from the main UoHouston campus and is a part of the uoHouston system. Located in the Coastal Bend region, its main campus is housed in Victoria, a growing city of some 62,000 with a mix of industrial and agricultural enterprises in the region, including, but not limited to oil and natural gas exploration and refining, cattle, rice, corn, cotton, transportation, and education.
