Position Description
The Florida State University Counseling Center (www.counseling.fsu.edu) is seeking two experienced clinical or counseling psychologists to join our dynamic and diverse multidisciplinary team. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate skills working with diverse students, faculty and staff in a multicultural environment.

The UCC has a strong group therapy program, is fully accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS) and is an APA-Accredited Pre-doctoral Psychology Internship site. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a collaborative and collegial environment to provide individual counseling, group psychotherapy, prevention outreach, consultation, crisis intervention, and clinical supervision and training to pre-doctoral and pre-master’s interns.

The University Counseling Center (UCC) provides a full range of counseling and psychological services, has an active outreach agenda, and a dynamic peer educator student organization. In addition, we have recently opened a Biofeedback Lab available to students for stress and anxiety reduction. We are a diverse, multidisciplinary staff representing many theoretical orientations and disciplines (psychology, counseling, social work and art therapy). Collaboration with other Student Affairs and Academic units to provide mental health and wellness programming is a hallmark of our center. All staff are encouraged to contribute to the training and supervision of graduate interns. The UCC enjoys the strong support of University administrators.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program. In addition, the candidate must have a valid license to practice psychology in the State of Florida (in accordance with Chapter 490, F.S.) or be able to obtain said licensure within one year of employment in this position. This position requires a police background check. Start date is negotiable.

Desired Qualifications
Desired candidates will be Mid-Career Psychologists. Preferred qualifications include licensure in Florida and three years (3) or more post-licensure experience in a college counseling center or with college-aged clients. Demonstrated ability and interest in the training and supervision of master’s and doctoral interns and a track record of teamwork and multicultural competency are valued.
