Position Description
Full time position. Responsibilities: The Director of the Women’s Center reports to the Director of Counseling and Testing. This position is multifaceted in scope and functions to provide counseling services in addition to leadership to the Murray State University Women’s Center.

Director will: Provide individual and group mental health counseling services to students, faculty, and staff at Murray State University in the areas of eating disorders and interpersonal/ sexual violence. Maintain intake and referral system for interpersonal violence critical/safety needs. Provide consultative services to other campus units. Manage an active roster of volunteer-based scheduling. Provide preventative programming to groups at Murray State University with an emphasis on areas listed above. Specific current programs that the successful candidate will be responsible for continuing include Realities on Campus, Take Back the Night, and Eating Disorders Awareness Week.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology Required. Must hold the designated license from one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor from the Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors; Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the Kentucky Board of Social work or: Licensed Psychological Practitioner from the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology. License must be in hand by start date of position, 7/1/12. If license is out of state, must be license eligible in Kentucky.

Desired Qualifications
Significant interest and experience in specialty areas of eating disorders and interpersonal/sexual violence preferred. Significant portion of professional service delivery with college-age population preferred. Training and experience working with culturally diverse populations preferred.
