Job Description for Full Time 10 Month Staff Psychologist Position in Counseling Center



This full time clinical position will be located in the Counseling Center and report to the Director of the Counseling Center. Requires Doctoral Degree in clinical or counseling psychology, completed APA accredited internship and previous experience in College Counseling preferred.

• Provide individual, group psychotherapy and collateral sessions.
• Participate in one hour of individual weekly clinical supervision.
• Conduct psycho-diagnostic assessments and evaluations
• Attend two hour weekly staff meetings.
• Provide outreach trainings (i.e. RA’s, RD’s training, faculty training)
• Provide programming and outreach activities for Manhattanville College Students
• Crisis intervention counseling
• Liaison with other departments
• Consultation with students, staff, faculty and administrators
• Communication with parents, referral resources and local hospitals
• Attend Meetings, participate on college committees as needed
• Write reports, evaluations, patient notes and assessments.
• Participate in phase one and two orientation.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Counseling


Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. or Psy.D in clinical or Counseling psychology
Previous experience in College Counseling Center.
APA accredited internship

Desired Qualifications
New York State License
