Position Description
The Director reports to the Assistant Dean of Student Success Services and serves in the leadership position of Kennesaw State University’s Counseling & Psychological Services. Duties include: Supervision of the clinical staff and counseling services, outreach, practicum training, and mandated referrals; Develop and monitor clinical policies and procedures; Manage schedules and organize the on-call emergency calendar; Maintain integrity of client data and organizing client information on a proprietary database scheduler; Provide individual and group counseling/psychological services, workshops, consultation; Provide crisis services for KSU community; Serve on Suicide Task Force Committee; Coordinate and oversee orientation for new staff and weekly clinical meetings; Manages internal survey data; Attends state, national conferences, workshops, director’s association meetings etc.; Helps the Assistant Dean by attending Divisional Director’s mtgs; consults with Behavioral Response Programs; other duties as needed in Assistant Dean’s absence; Collaborates with the Health Clinic and other campus entities.
Minimum Qualifications
A PhD or PsyD in Counseling/Clinical Psychology, Professional Counseling, Social Work, or related field. Experience as both a clinical and administrative supervisor in a university counseling center setting. Licensed or licensed eligible in Ga. Excellent communication and clinical skills.
Desired Qualifications
A licensed psychologist or social worker with 5-7 yrs administrative experience in a university counseling center.
