Position Description
The Division of Student Affairs and the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services at Ohio University is seeking two qualified counselors.
Candidates should be skilled in individual, group, and crisis intervention therapies, as well as diagnosis, assessment, and psycho-educational programming. Candidates should be well prepared to work with a full range of mental health challenges including mood disorders, substance abuse, personality disorders, eating disorders, ADHD and post-traumatic stress illnesses.
The ability to provide mental health consultation for faculty and staff is essential. Specialized training and experience in working with veterans, students of color, international students, non-traditional students, and LGBTQ students, assessment, the treatment of substance abuse disorders and disorders of character are highly desirable.
College counseling center experience is preferred, but not required, as is independent licensure and the ability to provide clinical supervision to trainees and candidates within your profession.
Additional responsibilities include participating in on-call and crisis situations, participation in the Division of Student Affairs and flexible hours.
A Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field is required from an appropriately accredited college or university. Candidates must be licensed or licensed eligible in the state of Ohio.

Minimum Qualifications
A Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field is required from an appropriately accredited college or university. Candidates must be licensed or licensed eligible in the state of Ohio.
