Troubleshooting Tips

  • Ensure that the battery is not low (change the battery if you are unsure).
  • Ensure that the battery is loaded correctly.
  • Verify the pager number and that it is being dialed correctly.
  • Check the pager number before and after the pager number you are troubleshooting. (i.e., if the number you are working on is 473-9997, you would physically call 473-9996 and then 473-9998 to see if there are similar problems such as busy signals.) Do not send a test page.
  • Verify that the pager user is within their coverage area (see coverage map).

If all of the above have been checked and the pager is still not working please contact the Pager Warehouse at ext. 8-2337, 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday for customer service. (The switchboard, ext. 8-5000, is a back-up option only, from 5pm - 8am.)
