The University of Kansas Medical Center Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery is pursuing excellence in clinical care, resident and medical student education, and research in diseases of the head and neck. The department consists of eleven physicians, one basic scientist, three audiologists, a vestibular rehabilitation specialist, and a speech pathologist.

The department has an active clinical program in diseases of the ear and balance, sinus, facial plastic surgery, oncologic surgery with microvascular recontruction, and allergy. The entire spectrum of practice of otolaryngology is covered.

Special programs include cochlear implants, free flap reconstruction, facial plastic surgery, vestibular rehabilitation, and voice disorders.
