The Svoboda Library Collection is located
in the offices of Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine
and is a department library focused on supporting the inforation needs
of students, residents and faculty of the
department, primarily, and the students of the University of Kansas
Medical Center, secondarily. Its collection
consists of books, many of them textbooks, slides, and journals.
The MIRC Collection is housed in Svoboda
Pathology Library and Department of Pathology area. This collection
consists of books, journals, CDs, videos, cassettes, and electronically accessed materials with its collection focused
on cultural minorities in the US, underserved or special populations
and their healthcare, with special emphasis
on educational and career opportunities for minorities in medicine.
